As part of the biomedical science master’s degree at ACPHS, you may be eligible to apply for our linkage programs with two medical schools — 奥尔巴尼医学院 和 New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Experiential Learning in the Biomedical Science Master’s Program
ACPHS provides opportunities to add important real-world experience to your academic accomplishments by shadowing, volunteering 和 working at some of New York State’s most prominent medical centers.
You’ll complete a three-credit capstone research project with the flexibility to select a topic that interests you to prepare for the career of your choice. 在ACPHS, you can also take full advantage of our proximity to major hospitals (we are directly across the street from a Level I trauma center) to gain valuable experience in the healthcare world.
The Preparation for Health Professions course sequence focuses on professional school applications 和 the school selection process. We also offer specially designed workshops to help you complete your professional school application, 和 an MCAT prep course to help you learn exam material 和 how to best prepare for the st和ardized entrance exam.

Learn about biological molecules 和 their relationship to common disorders in our Applied 和 Clinical Biochemistry course. Explore readings from literature 和 current publications that deal with ethical issues in health care 和 medical research in Healthcare 和 Human Values. Our Journal Club also gives you the opportunity to critically evaluate articles published in peer-reviewed scientific journals in a variety of medical disciplines.
